Measures approximately 3" x 10" x 28" TallHand carved Seminole Indian relief reflecting on the history of the Senator. This carving still has a few charred edges from the fire that destroyed it after 3,500 years on this earth. It can stand on its own or be wall mounted. The Senator Tree is known as one of the oldest trees in the entire world. It was the oldest known of the Cypress species. Due to the nature of Cypress trees and the fire, there was a very limited amount of wood left upon its demise. The diameter of the tree was approximately twelve feet and should have yielded tens of thousands of board feet of lumber but sadly probably less than 10% survived the fire. The Ole General Store is one of three local companies chosen to help rescue and commemorate the Senator through various artwork. Each piece has been individually serial numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Every piece is painstakingly handled and preserved.
